Exhibition 2024 AQUA SUR

   

 

The Chilean Aquaculture and Fisheries Exhibition 2024 AQUA SUR will be held from March 19th to March 21st, 2024, at ruta Chinquihue - km 13.5, 5480000 Puerto Montt, Los Lagos - Centro Logistico TMP, Puerto Montt, Chile. Organized by the Chilean Aquaculture Association, this exhibition takes place every two years, covering an area of 18,000 square meters and attracting 510 exhibitors and 35,300 global visitors.

 

AQUA SUR brings together mechanical, equipment, and service suppliers from within the industry to provide various solutions for the increasingly mature Chilean aquaculture sector. Supported by strategic partner AQUA NOR, the Norwegian Aquaculture Conference, AQUA SUR is the world's second-largest aquaculture exhibition.

 

AquaSur is the most important event in the southern hemisphere's aquaculture industry, held every two years in Puerto Montt, the heart of Chile's aquaculture industry. Chilean aquaculture export data 2008-2014 (in millions of USD) has seen an 82% increase in Chile's aquaculture exports over the past seven years, making it the world's second-largest producer of salmon. Since the 1980s, Chile's aquaculture production has grown by an average of over 25% each year, and in the past decade, it has averaged over 13% growth per year.

 

According to a report by authoritative industry body FiS on December 5, 2015, Chile exported 439,921 tons of salmon in the first 10 months of this year, valued at US2.829billion.Thisrepresentsa13.52.418 billion. Over the past seven years, Chilean aquaculture exports have increased by 82%, making it the world's second-largest producer of salmon. Since the 1980s, Chile's aquaculture production has grown by an average of over 25% each year, and in the past decade, it has averaged over 13% growth per year.
